RITUAL LIMITED: 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE PRESS.
April 2026 marks the 10th Anniversary of my press: Ritual Limited.
I started the press to collect my short stories into two volumes.
10 years later, we've published 8 original books (growing to 5 formats per title). Collectively, these were created by:
1 author.
2 employees
2 eBook converters
3 designers
3 cover artists
4 audiobook producers
4 printers
4 distributors
5 managing editorial editors and proofreaders
Thousands of hours of work

An awful lot of my own cash. No grants. No loans. No assistance. The business relies entirely on firm sales of books and rights.
The press didn't need to save my career, or anything of that nature, but it reinvigorated my work and gave me a new purpose.
Over the years, a few people have explained to me why I started the press. They always assume one of two incorrect motivations: you can't get a real publisher; it's only about money.
I chose to do this. And though I wanted the business to be a success, there are easier and safer occupations than writing and publishing. The only validation I require is from readers.
We've grown and thrived for a decade because of readers.
A massive two-horned salute to all who have bought, read, translated and reviewed our books.
Not going to make a big deal of the milestone, or even celebrate. I'm just writing the next novel to begin the next 10 years. It's a perpetual journey without a specific destination.
